A luxury App that could let you skip signing the check at high-end restaurants

Who wouldn’t like to know they can get a table at the most exclusive restaurants at the last minute, receive complimentary deserts, and then when you’re done, dispense with the awkward need to flag down a waiter to get the check? Just get up and walk away, knowing everything is already taken care of. You’re a real VIP. As it turns out, there’s an App for that. It’s free to sign up, and can streamline your experience at the best restaurants, shopping, spas, travel, and more experiences in the luxury market.

Co-founder, Jonas Frey explained why the LEVELS App was created.

“I always wondered why so many questions were still unanswered in the luxury world – like, how I can find the actual best venues of a city and not just the best priced and then also get availability there, how reviews can be matched from the level of the venue to that of the reviewer, why I still have to wait at rental car counters to present documentation, need to invest my time for flagging down a waiter at dinner to pay my bill or not being able to get that emergency Zegna dress-shirt at 10 p.m. All of that made me think – there should be an App for that!” Frey said.

The LEVELs App was founded in 2016 with $7 million in capital from German private equity investor Andreas Weishaupt. Then the App officially launched on March 7th, 2018 thanks to the efforts of almost 40 people for two years. The first market was in Las Vegas. Then the market expanded to cities like Beverly Hills, Miami, New York, Munich, London, Paris, and Singapore.

In an interview with High Rise Life, Jonas Frey, CEO of LEVELS, described the new technology geared toward the luxury market.

“LEVELS is not focused on restaurants alone but sees the luxury market as a way of life. Therefore, we cater to anyone that wants a reliable and seamless lifestyle experience for fine dining, great shopping, spas, travel, etc. It cuts out the unnecessary, such as waiting for a check and paying a tab. Also by adding benefits such as ‘preferred seating’ at the best locations worldwide, a client not only knows where to go but also knows that he or she will be granted access even last minute,” said Frey.

LEVELS works with a chat messenger app on your smartphone.

“The app has an accessible chat messenger, a 24/7 multi-lingual concierge, and you can even add family and friends to your account— it’s all designed around that particular lifestyle,” he explained.

If you need to, you can conveniently communicate through the app.

“In case you forget something at the merchant site or need to ask any questions following your purchase, the chat messenger allows for smooth communication and quick response without disclosing your personal information to the partner.”

The more you spend, the higher you can rise through the eleven levels, from the Piccolo level, which starts at $0 a year, to the ultimate Midas Level-User. As you rise through the levels, you receive more benefits, which are in the thousands. There are also exclusive badges to unlock “attention benefits” like guaranteed seating, welcome drinks or not having to wait to pay.

Frey says you may even be able to take part in personalized after-hours shopping in some cases.

“Your reputation precedes you wherever you go. The actual benefits are in the thousands! Every LEVELS Partner offers different benefits for the various levels. For instance, as a Methusalem Level-User (which is the 6th of the eleven levels), you pretty much get in to any restaurant at any time and also receive little recognition perks like the best tables in the venue, complimentary welcome cocktails, or desserts on the house! A benefit I personally love is personal after-hours shopping in our boutique trading partners.”

According to the co-founder, the App uses facial recognition and stores credit card information securely a third-party, bank-grade security system so there’s no risk that your information is stolen.

“Personal recognition eliminates any need to sign for receipts or bills wherever you decide to bring your business, which allows for ease of lifestyle and better security. You get a copy of your receipt sent to your phone and email after it has been processed,” he explained.

According to Pursuitist:

“More than 2,000 venues are incentivizing the affluent consumer by offering benefits and discounts to user groups like local high-end residents. Some partnerships include The Cipriani group, Baccarat Hotel, Robert Cavalli and STK. Users can currently join over 200 digital country clubs, named ‘Badges’, like the Jaguar Classic Owners or the Beverly Hills Resident Badge if they submit information proving they are in possession of what is required to hold the respective badge. Although the App takes an exclusive approach, it’s open to anyone. Users can deposit money to upgrade their status, but they can also level up by spending as they travel, shop, or visit their favorite high-end restaurant.
