Worldwide Places To Indulge Your Desire to Drive Luxury Cars
If you've already purchased your luxury vehicle, you may be bored with driving it around the neighborhood by now. If that's the case, you'll be happy to hear that our list includes sites with unique scenery and varied roads. With locations like these, you'll want to drive luxury cars around the globe!
1. Chapman’s Peak Drive, South Africa
Forming a gateway between Cape Town and South Peninsula, Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the most scenic roads in the world. The name derives from the mountain that it sits on and stands at 593m high with a sweeping 180-degree view. Many motorists define it as paradise with plenty of winding roads to get the most out of your drive. Drive luxury cars along the Atlantic Ocean with 9km of coastal views.
Though it’s spectacular for driving, ensure you safely pull over and absorb the views out of the car. Stop off for a picnic, or just to enjoy nature. Considering the time of year, you may witness Southern Right Whales surfacing. A spectacular marine drive, it’s the perfect spot for tourists and a bucket list essential.
Due to its natural beauty, it’s popular amongst cyclists and runners. Plan your visit in accordance to upcoming events; the last thing you want is to spontaneously show you to find out it’s closed to the public.
2. Ruta, Argentina
Drive luxury cars amongst Argentina’s Patagonian highway for unforgettable memories. The 5000km distance is perfect for car enthusiasts, though consider what type of vehicle you have before the venture. Due to the road conditions, some areas can become flooded and narrow, so you’ll need a compatible vehicle. Alternatively, some choose to hire multiple modes of transport to accommodate.
Ruta, officially known as Ruta Nacional 40, runs nearly the entire length of Argentina, and begins south of the Bolivian border to Tierra del Fuego. The smooth road conditions make it suitable to cyclists and ensure that the journey is filled with awesome memories.
But that doesn’t keep for long, as it soon turns to gravel and soil. It’s not a route for the light-hearted driver though, as some may fear the ever-changing conditions or visions that are yet to come: sheep walking on the road behind you, and rocks falling a foot away.
Aside from tremendous silence and peace, there are unspoiled rivers and magical roads. To cover the entire route, you’ll cross 236 bridges, 11 provinces, and 18 national parks. We recommend allocating six days for this beautiful drive to allow enough time to enjoy the views and relax in-between. Two villages in the route only speak Spanish, so if you decide to explore on foot, you might want to polish up your language skills prior.
3. Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina/Virginia, USA
The Parkway’s 469 miles through North Carolina and Virginia’s counties make for a scenic route and ideal location to drive luxury cars. You’ll encounter historic old towns in Virginia, national parks, battlefields, and mountains. The Shenandoah National Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are great destinations to explore for a well-deserved break and stretch.
We strongly recommend taking extra precaution on the roads, especially as the legal speed limit constantly changes. The road shoulders are narrow and in certain places, there is greenery and distractions which can take over. Don’t let the fear compromise the experience though, as you only need to drive with extra attention.
Every driver and passenger will see a natural world they may have never seen before: wildlife, wildflowers and extraordinary views are all included in the scenic drive. Start early in the morning for a majestic sunrise to start you off, and you’ll thank us. There’s something about fresh, morning air that’s magical.
4. Atlantic Road, Norway
Drive luxury cars along the west coast of central Norway and experience Norway’s many charms. Relax and indulge in the idyllic village Haholmen, and enjoy its nature on food to relax and unwind.
You’ll start in a fascinating town called Alesund and witness ferry and fishing posts with decorated towers and unique buildings. In 1904, the town centre was destroyed by a fire and later rebuilt to form a beautiful destination for drivers, cyclists and walkers.
You’ll be surrounded by towering mountains, breath-taking fjords, numerous islands, and nature at its finest. If you decide to ditch the car for a short while, embark in their restaurant and nightlife to really unwind.
Farther into the beautiful drive, you’ll witness the small village of Bud, where you’ll see World War II’s history at Ergan Coastal Fort. Here, it’s filled with traditional fisherman’s cabins and serves as the perfect point for hopping on a boat at Haholmen.
5. North Yungas Road, Bolivia
North Yungas Road has been nicknamed as ‘The Death Road’ due to its conditions, and drivers are obliged to drive on the left-hand side of the road for their own safety. The route begins in La Paz to Coroico and covers 25 miles in the Yungas region of Bolivia.
When the road first opened in 2007, drivers faced massive drops and extremely narrow roads. It opens to beautiful views with natural rocks, masses of greenery, and panoramic views of Bolivia. For adrenaline-junkies, complete your journey with a choice of three zip-lines with speeds of up to 52 miles per hour.
Summer is a particularly beautiful time of the year to bask in blue skies from an angle you’ve never imagined before. Drive luxury cars and become a part of a diverse, multi-ethnic culture that’ll change your life.
6. Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road, Abu Dhabi
Jebel Hafeet is located on the outskirts of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates and extends for 7.3 miles. On this amazing route, you’ll drive up mountains with an elevation of 4,000 feet above sea level.
There are two lanes available to go up the mountain, so there’s plenty of empty space to enjoy views of the desert. From the rest of the list above, it’s considered one of the safest routes, and you can go faster around the bends. In total, there are 60.
The road scales mountain and ends with only a hotel and palace. In-between, you’ll encounter smooth surfaces and sandstone mountains. Many people drive luxury cars fast up the mountain and decent slowly to really make the most of the breath-taking sweeping curves on the way down.
Located in the middle of the dessert, it’s well worth the eight percent ascent to the top for the majestic scenery. There’s really no other place on earth that can compare to Jebel Hafeet. One of the most popular times to drive here is at midnight and it’s even been voted as one of the top 10 great mountain roads. Explore a mint tea and a Sheesha at a beautiful restaurant, before completing your road trip. Animal enthusiasts will also love the beautiful zoo in Al Ain.
