However, the iconic traditional neckline remains untouched to maintain an edge.

One of the least common bomber jackets is the leather one. However, we love the versatility and style this offers. Ideal for sprint to winter, you can wear it in a number of ways. Style it easily with a range of layers, or opt for a classic look. Should you wish to team it with jeans and a classic shirt, it looks equally as smart and classy.

The most recognized bomber jacket is probably the nylon one. It’s lightweight and a great go-to for when you’re running errands. This is considered more of a casual jacket with a modern temperament. It’s hard to go wrong with a nylon bomber jacket, as it works with almost everything. Keep it casual and relaxed with jeans and a tee. Alternatively, use contrasting colours and textures to create an eccentric look. An all-black outfit with a coloured bomber jacket is a great go-to for a casual look. Ensure you get the finished ensemble clean and polished with slim-fit trousers/jeans. On the other hand, amp up the formalness of the look with a button-up shirt. Most importantly, play around with colours and textures. Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone.

Biker jackets are one of the most popular men’s jacket styles. The most important thing to get right is the fit of a biker jacket. This is a vital factor in creating the perfect look. You should be able to comfortably fit a sweatshirt underneath. However, avoid wearing anything which falls below your belt line. If you’re new to biker jackets, avoid brown. There are plenty of beautiful shades available, but it’s difficult to get this right. Fork out on high-quality suede or the best leather. Alternatively, stick with black for a safer bet.

Dressing up your biker jacket should be fun, and you should definitely play around with accessories and different styles. Team with a pair of jeans, or some edgy shoes. However, the most important element of the look should always be the biker jacket. All of the other pieces you add should complement it, rather than became the center of attraction. Slim jeans always look great, as does a t-shirt and black leather boots. Keep everything minimalist in terms of design, shape and colour. A pop of colour if fine, but it shouldn’t overpower the black jacket.

For formal occasions, a biker jacket is a suitable component. However, make sure you keep everything else simple. Play around with the textures and details on your biker jacket. Going for a dressed-up leather jacket look can be hard to pull off. But, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Upgrade to silver buttons, but don’t get so cocky that it’s filled with studs. Sometimes, more isn’t always good.

You can never go wrong wearing a denim jacket with a white tee. But, you must consider the fit in order to keep your look stylish. It shouldn’t be too slim, baggy or translucent. Aim for a medium neckline so that it doesn’t start too high or low and expose your chest. The ideal length is just above your denim jacket, as it shouldn’t hang lower. If it does, you can ruin the overall effect by looking scruffy. Contrary to what you may have heard, double denim can work wonders. For example, you can’t really go wrong with a blue denim jacket teamed with black jeans.

Although you don’t see the look that often, you can wear a denim jacket with a shirt and tie. Look less daunting and bring new elements to the work attire. However, avoid this look for a job interview or serious meeting. A denim jacket will always look more informal than a suit – no matter how you style it. Therefore, consider the environment and occasion you’ll wear it to.

The trench coat is one of our favourite men’s jacket styles. They’re designed and structured for bad weather. As a result, they keep you warm and dry, thanks to the waterproof material. They come in a variety of styles – including half-belted, unbelted, belted and more. The more belts, the more formal the coat, and vice versa. Even the detailing on the sleeves affects the overall tone of the trench coat. You can choose from cuffed or uncuffed, or no sleeve buttons.

It’s designed to be longer than most other jackets. It’s meant as a serious outerwear item and to flatter the wearer’s body type and shape. With tailored sleeves, buttons and tight-fitting belts, you can easily enhance your body. The most important consideration of the trench coat is whether to use a belt or not. If you have a smaller waist, you can enhance this with a belt. On the other hand, if you have shorter legs and arms, a belt won’t drown you, but will make you look more symmetrical.

In today’s fashion, there are so many colours and shades to choose from. However, the most popular colour is beige or khaki, and we highly recommend either of these. If you intend to purchase a trench coat for a formal event, ensure you choose either of these colours. Finally, due to the length of a trench coat, your shoes are important. Avoid trainers or boots, and switch to smarter footwear. Brown pointy shoes are a great go-to.

Finally, an overcoat is staple fashion item for men since the 19^th century. As with many other men’s jacket styles, fit is the most important aspect. It should sit comfortably on top and not be too baggy. If it’s too tight, it’ll ruin the shape and appeal of the overcoat. Carefully analyze the fit on your shoulders too, as it shouldn’t drape, but fit naturally. Shape is an important element too. We love that you can wear an overcoat with almost anything. However, do consider texture when purchasing one.

Its main job is to keep you dry and warm, whilst looking smart. Therefore, the fabric is important to add depth and functionality to your wardrobe. For example, mottled fabrics add depth and are great from a fashion aspect. However, they don’t look the smartest, so consider this when wearing an overcoat to a formal event.

You can easily wear it for date night during the winter. If so, layers are a key factor to consider. Pair with smart-casual options to show you’ve made an effort, without looking over the top. If it’s cold out, then team with a blazer or cardigan to keep you warm underneath. Also, an overcoat also works for informal occasions, such as meeting your friends for a coffee. Choose a neutral colour, and add a pop of shades elsewhere. Alternatively, knitted sweaters and sweatshirts work as a casual look.
