Krystal Reflects on Fashion Journey and Sisterly Anecdotes in New Interview

Singer and actress Krystal, also known as Jung Soo Jung, recently shared insights into her personal fashion history and a memorable luxury bag incident.

The 31-year-old appeared on Harper’s Bazaar Korea’s YouTube channel on December 1, discussing her style evolution ahead of her first solo release in 16 years.

Early Fashion Memories

Krystal reflected on her childhood, recalling, “When I look at my childhood photos, I realize my mom dressed me so beautifully.

I still wear some of her clothes from 20 to 30 years ago.

My sister and I often wore matching outfits. I also wore a lot of her hand-me-downs.”

She also reminisced about her early career with f(x), sharing that at age 14, she frequently experimented with new styles for performances.

Acting and Luxury Brands

During her role as Bona in the 2013 drama ‘The Heirs,’ Krystal drew inspiration from luxury fashion.

“I was 20 in Korean age when I played the character Bona. She was a rich daughter who always had to wear luxury brands, so I took a lot of reference from the American drama Gossip Girl,” she said.

She recounted borrowing a luxury bag from her sister for filming, which led to an amusing incident.

“My sister was really mad when she saw that scene,” Krystal laughed, referring to a shot where the bag was thrown on the floor.

Current Projects and Solo Release

Krystal recently released her solo single Solitary, marking her first solo debut in 16 years.

She is also set to appear in the tvN weekend drama How to Become a Building Owner in Korea.

Additionally, her new film, the sequel to Wind titled Jjangu, is scheduled for release next year.

Krystal’s reflections showcase her growth both as a performer and as a fashion-conscious public figure.
