Range Rover SV Black Edition Priced at $238,900 With Price Drop
Land Rover has officially priced the Range Rover SV Black Edition at $238,900.
This figure is slightly higher than early estimates of around $230,000, reflecting the extensive visual and material upgrades in this special edition.
The SV Black builds on the standard Range Rover SV, the flagship full-size SUV, and pushes its design further with a full blacked-out exterior and interior.
Its aesthetic is reminiscent of blacked-out Cadillac Escalades and Mercedes-Benz G-Wagons, often favored by high-profile owners.
Exterior and Interior Features
Unlike the standard SV, which uses bronze-tone accents, the SV Black eliminates them completely.
The exterior is finished in Narvik Black, covering 22- or 23-inch wheels, brake calipers, and nearly all trim.
Inside, the cabin continues the monochromatic theme with black upholstery and subtle black birch veneers across the dashboard and doors.
Standard luxury features include the Body and Soul rear seats and a “world-first” sensory floor, which synchronizes vibrations with audio input to enhance the in-cabin experience.
Performance Specifications
Mechanically, the SV Black mirrors the standard SV.
It is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV delivers 607 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, reaching 0–60 mph in 4.3 seconds.
This performance is comparable to other high-powered SUVs, such as the Porsche Cayenne S Coupe.
Optional Add-Ons
U.S. buyers can enhance their SV Black with optional packages.
Deployable side steps cost $5,200, a towing package with Advanced Tow Assist and a hitch receiver is $1,200, and a cold climate package including a heated windshield and washer jets is $350.
Fully equipped, the Range Rover SV Black can surpass $250,000.
Alternative Black-Themed Models
For buyers drawn to the blacked-out look but seeking a more affordable option, Land Rover offers black-themed Range Rover Sport and Defender Octa models.
The Range Rover Sport provides a smaller, less expensive alternative to the flagship SUV.
The Defender Octa maintains rugged off-road capability with a similar blackout aesthetic.
